Expectations and Opportunities
At CrossWalk we believe that God is not only restoring his creation and calling us back to himself but he is also constantly calling us to participate in the story of redemption, reconciliation, and restoration. The only chance the world has of experiencing the love of Jesus is through His church. We have been commissioned to love others with the love of Jesus and in little ways restore God’s creation to its original design. We hope you feel called to participate in the story of God’s redemptive love by loving and serving others. Below are some expectations and opportunities that will hopefully assist in equipping you for a life of service here at CrossWalk.
Worship with Us
- At CrossWalk, worship is not limited to a specific location or time of the week; worship is a way of life! We do highly value our weekly time together each Sunday as we unite in one Spirit to worship God the Father and Jesus Christ the Son.
Join a Compass Group
- Deep meaningful relationships cannot be developed on Sundays alone. Compass Groups (small groups in the home) allow us to meet one another’s needs, share one another’s joys and bear one another’s burdens.
Attend CrossTraining on Sunday morning
- Being like Jesus is not easy, nor does it happen without spiritual discipline and guidance from the Holy Spirit. Our Sunday morning classes are designed to equip followers of Jesus for service in the world through biblical study and by sharing our experiences.
Pray for & Support Our Leadership
- Joining the journey at CrossWalk assumes that one fully trusts and supports the leadership. The greatest contribution one can make to the CrossWalk family is to pray for our shepherds, ministers, & teachers.
Invite
- Don’t keep what you’ve found here at Crosswalk to yourself! Share with others the love that you have experienced here by inviting them to join us. There’s always room for one more in this family.
Give
- Don’t limit your giving to just dollars and cents. Making a lasting difference in the world will require everyone to give of their time, energy, and resources. God wants your all, and so do we.
We’re Not There Yet!
People on a journey are always traveling and making progress toward a destination. We’re not so concerned with where you are in your journey but rather which direction you’re traveling. CrossWalk takes people as they are with an understanding that this life journey is all about becoming more like Jesus for the sake of the world. None of us have arrived even though we strive to be more like Jesus each day by putting aside our own selfish pursuits and following him. The only requirement we have for people who desire joining us at CrossWalk is a willingness to journey with us as we set our eyes on the cross. Regardless of where you are on your spiritual journey, if you have a desire to surrender, grow, change, and love…then CrossWalk is a place for you.
