Why CrossTalk?
The mission of this church is to become like Jesus for the sake of the world. Many in our neighborhood desire comfortable opportunities to practice conversations in their second language, English. In meeting this need, we have a wonderful opportunity to show the love of Christ through meaningful relationships. These intentional relationships, will enrich our lives as we come to love those around us in a very personal and practical way.
How is CrossTalk set up?
Each CrossTalk Partner meets for an hour each Monday night with their Community Partner. During that time a short story from the Bible is read aloud by the Community Partner, and questions are used as the basis of a conversation. Since the emphasis is on application and personal experiences, conversations may range over a broad variety of topics of interest to the participants. All activities are done in English. From time to time, group activities may be planned for all participants and their families, allowing interaction in an informal way in a small group setting.
